With endless four wheeling trails, top rated golf courses, bountiful lakes and beach areas, even high class resorts, the Brainerd lakes area will leave you wanting to come back for more weekend fun.

The Grand View Lodge is just a few miles north of Brainerd and makes for an extravagant getaway. There are a wide variety of different styled restaurants, cabins to rent, a beach on gull lake with an amazing view, and many different entertaining events. Brainerd Internation Raceway
The races are not always going on at BIR, but when they are it is a great weekend to come set up your RV and camp out for a weekend of racing, fun, and a few drinks at night. Checkout BIR’s website for events and times.

Whether you’re headed to the Brainerd lakes area or have lived around them all of your life, there may be a few “restaurant gems” that you have not tried out before. We want to show you a few of the not-so-well-known but amazing places to eat. Have you ever been to a town that you didn’t know so well, found a place to eat, and realized you would eat there every day if you had the chance? That is the feeling that we want to bring to you.
The Barn
Well first off we of course had to mention The Barn. Look at our reviews, our excellent value & maybe some delicious pictures on our Facebook Page and you will have all of the tasty incentive that you need to go out and try The Barn. Well known for their Made-Rites, pies & friendly hospitality you will be delighted with coffee that will never run out and a quickly made huge portion of any tasteful meal that you choose. If there’s no room for pie, just by looking at them, sitting there in the middle of the diner, you’ll know that you need to take a piece home.

Sunshine Kitchen & Moonshine Lounge
The Sunshine Kitchen & Moonshine Lounge is open from 11:00am – 1am daily. They have great burgers, and for the burger connoisseur, they have many appetizing and adventurous signature burgers you won’t find anywhere else. Their many taste bud crazing sauces will also have you in for a treat. They also have many different live entertainment events, you can find current events on the Sunshine Kitchen & Moonshine Lounge website. A full kitchen is open until 10pm and fresh pizzas are available until close.
Boardwalk Bread ‘n Bagel
The Boardwalk Bread ‘n Bagel is open from M – F 7am – 9pm | Sat 8am – 9pm | Sun 9am – 9pm. One of their tastiest meal deals is the soup and sandwich meal. They have some of the best soups ready, and amazing sandwiches that will leave your mouth watering. They have many different bagel and bread choices with endless choices of flavored cream cheese. Their bagels are a good deal but some of their other meals can be a little spendy. They also offer a catering service that you can look at on the Boardwalk Bread’n Bagel website.
